This policy explains what personal data SWISS SkyView collects through this website, why, who receives it and what rights you have. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

This policy covers visitors to this website and people who contact us, for example to ask for a quote.

When you send the contact form: your name, your email address, your message, and the date and time you sent it. The service that delivers the form to us also records your IP address and technical details such as your browser and the page you sent the form from.

When you call, email or message us on WhatsApp: your phone number or email address, your WhatsApp profile name and whatever you choose to tell us.

When you visit the site: our hosting provider processes technical data that every website needs to work, such as your IP address, your browser type and the time of the visit. We do not use this data to identify you.

We only collect what you give us. Please do not send sensitive information through the form.

Sending us your data is voluntary. We need your name, email address and message to answer a form request. If you prefer not to give them, you can call us instead.

Why we use it

To answer your request and prepare a quote
To keep the website running and secure

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not send newsletters and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone. We do not build profiles of you and make no automated decisions about you.

If the GDPR applies to you, we process your data on these grounds:

to take steps at your request before a contract, such as preparing a quote (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
our legitimate interest in answering other enquiries, protecting the website and the contact form from attacks and spam, and keeping records as Swiss law requires (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)

Who receives it

We use a few service providers to run the website and handle messages. They receive your data only as far as they need it to provide their service to us.

Formspark delivers the contact form to our mailbox.
Google provides our email (Gmail), where form messages and emails are stored.
Cloudflare hosts the website and delivers it to your browser.
WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Limited, part of Meta) carries the messages if you choose to write to us there. The WhatsApp button and QR code on this site only open the app. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp until you write to us. WhatsApp handles your data under its own privacy policy.

Formspark stores form messages on Amazon Web Services servers in Ireland and filters spam itself. It uses Hetzner in Germany to estimate the sender’s approximate location from the IP address. It keeps the IP address and this location for up to 12 months. Details are in the Formspark privacy policy.

These providers process data outside Switzerland:

Google and Cloudflare: in the United States and other countries. Both are certified under the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Frameworks, which Switzerland and the EU recognise as providing adequate protection. Cloudflare delivers the website from data centres worldwide, usually the one closest to you.
Formspark: in the European Union (Ireland and Germany), which Switzerland recognises as providing adequate protection.
WhatsApp: in Ireland and, through Meta, in the United States. Meta is certified under the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Frameworks.

We may also disclose data if the law or an authority requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and request details as long as we need them for your request and any follow-up. If you hire us, we keep the messages about your order as long as Swiss law requires.

Formspark keeps a copy of each form message in our account until we delete it.

We do not store the technical data from website visits ourselves. Cloudflare processes it only to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, and keeps it for a short time.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access limited to the people who handle your request.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time:

what personal data we hold about you
to correct data that is wrong
to delete your data, unless we must keep it by law
to restrict or stop the use of your data
to receive your data in a common electronic format

Where we rely on our legitimate interest, you can object to the use of your data at any time for reasons relating to your situation.

Send your request to swissskyview.info@gmail.com. We answer free of charge within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity.

If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If you live in the EU, you can also contact the data protection authority in your country.

We update this policy when the website or the way we handle data changes. The current version is always on this page.
